East Fife Sports Council was delighted to support Madras College Girls Hockey Club with
funding. The club is run for all S1-6 girls and provides weekly training sessions as well as
opportunities to play in Fife tournaments, friendly fixtures and district trials. The girls have a
participation pathway in which they are encouraged to attend training with the local ladies
team (Madras FP’s Ladies Hockey Club) in order to access more competitive games. The
fundamental principles of the club are engagement and enjoyment – we aim to provide a
safe, supportive and fun environment for girls to try or develop their hockey. The EFSC
funding will be used to provide key kit including hockey sticks to encourage participation
and an inclusive approach. The EFSC wish the club all the very best with its development.
