East Fife Sports Council is delighted to support Largo Sailing Club with funding. The club is a well established part of its local community, offering an annual open day to entice new members and though its main focus is on sailing activities, with the recent explosion of other water-based activities locally there has been a great demand for LBSC to provide safety-boat cover to assist with the activities of other groups. The funding will help towards the downsizing of the existing safety boat to a size which is easily managed by fewer people and to also install a hydraulic winch to allow full recovery of the boat into the shed – this will also help create a more secure C-19-safe environment. The club also works with Largo Communities Together to communicate its projects and activities to the wider community. The EFSC committee wish the club the very best in getting back to full activity once C-19 restrictions ease and with its planned developments.
