East Fife Sports Council is delighted to support Anstruther Tennis Club with funding, the club is
delighted to have been awarded the Development Grant from EFSC and will use it to work in
partnership with Active Schools/Fife Council and local Primary Schools to promote and encourage
participation in tennis by hosting sessions at the courts. The aim is to attract young people and their
families from diverse socio-economic backgrounds to promote and encourage social inclusion.
Family tournaments and Club Fun Days will also be organised and open to the wider community. The
club offers a safe, supportive, fun and inclusive community sporting venue for people of all ages and
diversities. The funding will be used to purchase equipment to ensure the club is adequately
equipped to accommodate large groups of adults and young people. The EFSC committee wish the
club the very best in getting back to full activity once C-19 restrictions ease and progressing with its
exciting plans.
